She earned the title of Ambassador for Women Development for launching the careers of hundreds of women throughout Pakistan by mentoring, skilled training and loans. Noor co-founded Shahina Aftab Foundation (SAF) the global NGO for women that work on the girl dividend (the concept of investing in girl education, skill training & microfinance for solving the most challenging problems of the world and achieving the best return on investment).

During floods, termed by UN as the worst tragedy on earth that affected 14 Million people; washed away entire villages & put a quarter of Pakistan under water, SAF reached 10,000 families (with average 8 members per family) with life-saving medicines, food and quilts. And helped change the statistic of Educational Emergency in Pakistan (where 3 Million children will never see school) by setting up two schools for the children of the flood hit areas. Noor is the President of the International Women Economic Council (IWEC): a platform that strives to provides women with mentoring, skill development and networking for business.

As the lead advisor to businesses/social funds, Noor uses her experience of managing Pakistan’s largest Microfinance portfolio with (1 Million active borrowers) to provide customized turnkey solutions across the globe. For smaller & mid-size MFIs she helps them global, innovate business models and fund-raising. As the expert speaker on microfinance, she has shared her expertise 11 global locations from on pressing topics as gender based micro financing to political risk in micro-finance.

Trained as an Investment Banker, thriving to create “a dent in the Universe” Noor’s claim to fame in the corporate world is her two mega successful assignments as Project Manager for President of Pakistan fund having US$49.6 Billion in FDI projects; managed Bilateral Investment Treaties (BIT) of Pakistan with 48 countries and as Financial Analyst to Fauji Foundation, Pakistan’s largest conglomerate where she managed the corporate finance of 18 businesses of the Group. With an MBA in Finance from NUST Business School in Islamabad, Noor started her career from World Book International in Pakistan, a Warren Buffet Company.

Her work is covered by BBC, Martha Vineyard Times, Hindustan Times amongst others.
